Winter Appeal 2020

On 19 December 2020, distribution of 2 blankets and 100 kgs of coal was distributed to 75 poor and widowed families in Indjil District in Kurre Mili. An approximate of 750 orphans were assisted through this appeal. The total cost for 2 blankets and 100 Kgs of coal was $40.00.

The coal helped the recipient families to warm the house and also allowed them to cook their meals. Distributed blankets would last for a few winters to come. The provision provided is quite small per family but in the restricted resources available, and the inflation rise, IWRO were able to provide assistance to 75 families in Herat in dire need

Families receiving the aid were really grateful for assistance as winters are quite severe and the warmth generating resources are always welcomed and provides relief financially as well which allows a little extra funds towards groceries.
